Are you coming to any cities in Canada? Montreal, for instance? 🙂
For those of us who won’t make it to a reading because we live in the wrong country, it’s wonderful to at least hear your voice. Thank you so much for that long interview, and incidentally for staying cheerful and interesting in spite of that inane, ignorant interviewer (I stopped counting the factual errors, not to mention the dumb questions.)
And while I’m at it, many long-overdue thanks for years of sanity-saving doses of dykedom. Keep it up – pleeaaase!
Oh poop. I had been hoping you’d come to Minneapolis, but I’ll actually be in Massachusetts that week. Oh well.
Just finished the book last night, by the way, and enjoyed it very much. I bought the last copy at the local “Buns and Noodle” (would have gone to Amazon, but I had a gift card to use up for the other place), even though that copy had a torn dust jacket. At that point I just could bear the thought of waiting any longer for my copy, so I didn’t want to drive to another location or wait for them to order one. They said if I called Houghton Mifflin and asked, they would probably send me a new dust jacket, but they were wrong about that. Oh well. It doesn’t affect the contents, of course 😉
Hi Alison. Love reading your blog and looking around your site. Been reading you for what seems like 20 yrs now. I guess we grew up and came out together, me, you and the DTWOF crew while I lived in SF. I’m in Iowa City right now, the supposed lesbian capital of the Midwest LOL. We are also the home of the Univ of Iowa Writer’s Workshop as I’m sure you know. Many great authors come through and read at Prairie Lights Books. Mention it to your publisher and see if you can squeeze a gig in here. I bet you’d have a fabulous reception and enjoy your time here, as well, whirlwind as it might be.
Congratulations on your continued success.
