Blackout in Boston?

June 23rd, 2006 | Uncategorized

Okay, I know nobody’s really gonna see this, but I’ll post it anyway. I just found out that the place in Boston where I’m speaking tonight has been changed because there was a power outage. (There’s a big storm going on.) It’s now at Alumni Hall, which is also part of Simmons College. The address is 321 Brookline.

Whatever.

Yeah… I saw that too – but the Center did send out a big email so now I’ve heard about it not once, but twice.

So I’m just gonna go on out there and part the seas.
    Hope everyone else does too.

Not sure where to put this comment, so here it is under today’s post even though it’s completely off topic:

I just finished reading Fun Home. I already knew you were brilliant from reading DTWOF, but Fun Home is an even higher level of brilliance. Thank you for writing it.

Really hope my friends, who wanted to attend, saw this before tonight’s event got started.. I couldn’t be there, because I am a few thousand miles east of Boston (thsat’s in Austria) but Boston is my second home so I got all excited at the prospect of the Boston-held fun home reading, just for the spirit of it.. btw, got my fun home copy in London, while randomly walking past “Gay is the Word”, the UK’s “only independant gay and lesbian bookstore” (by their own definition).. When is the Europe book tour starting? 🙂 Greetings to all of you in Boston! – Johanna
