I am, therefore I blog.

  1. Whoa, that’s intense! My beloved has an old goat who survived a serious bear attack. They kept a radio blasting all night into the woods behind the barn for months.

Makes me sad actually — my girlfriend and I just had to sell our place in VT so we could actually have a job together in academe in PA. Now we live in Philadelphia far, far from the deep woods. But bears used to shit regularly in our driveway. Ah . . . memories . . . misty water colored memories of the way we were!

i can’t believe you have bears there!!! are you going to try valiantly to fix the birdfeeder or give up in despair?

The bears are just waking up in Steamboat Springs. I secretly want to rub bacon grease all over the back deck, because I love to see them, but my 12 year old daughter sleeps in that room, and of course I have to set a good example…

Bears?! Jeez, that’s at least one good thing about living in Cleveland. I only have to worry about skunks spraying my chihuahua on morning walks.

Bears in Barre Town Vermont! We got em too! I HAD a very expensive metal “squirrel proof” bird feeder. The bear ate it last weekend. Wonder if they make “bear proof” bird feeders?
