The Big Day

November 2nd, 2004 | Uncategorized

Yes, I am, in fact referring to today, November 2nd, when our fine country elects its next leader. But I’m also referring to the pub date of Alison’s next DTWOF collection. We’ve received several queries recently asking when exactly that big day will be. My source tells me sometime in the fall of 2005.

Cathy! How nice to find you here. I’m glued to the computer watching the electoral votes rise…and my only salve was to catch up on the strip. And here you are. Ha. Amen from Chicago. Cheers

It will be interesting to see the Dykes reaction to the ‘blame the gays’ notion that has been going around with Kerry’s loss. Even I’m feeling guilty. 🙁

Hmmm, 2005 will be an interesting cultural year … The final Star Wars film, the next Harry Potter novel (possibly) AND best of all the new DTWOF collection! And we might have recovered from the November elections. I’m from the UK and can assure you all that if the rest of the world had been voting Kerry would definitely have won. Bush elected relatively fairly in the largest voter turnout ever in the US. Lefties in the UK completely in shock and incredulous at the result. I guess I wanted to extend my sympathies … Vive la resistance!

Thanks! I work at a bookstore and I’ll be sure to put it front and center (as usual) when it comes out.

Uggghhhhhh…It’s weird, I know it’s wrong, but as a lesbian I feel kind of guilty, too. Like somehow my very existence scared all those thumpers into the poll booths. Good thing there’s a DTWOF book to look forward to. A year is ok. I mean, we’re stuck with junior for FOUR. **looks around wildly for something sharp**
